    Preparation and delivery
In order to ensure timely firing and for the work to be fired during the required timeframe two weeks advance notice should be given. Otherwise it might mean that the firing will happen at a later date.
  • The kilns are loaded and fired Monday-Friday during working hours (not during the weekend).
  • It is your responsibility to deliver work to Unit 0.
  • It is your responsibility to ensure the work is ready to fire (thoroughly dried, well wiped underneath). Otherwise firing can be refused on these grounds.
  • Please provide details of materials used (clay type, glaze type and firing temperatures).
  • Firing turnaround is three working days to allow for loading, firing, cooling and unloading.
  • Kiln bookings are confirmed by payment in advance. Packaging should be taken away once items are delivered. Unfortunately storage cannot be offered.

    Please note
For health and safety reasons London Sculpture Workshop cannot fire anything that would create a vast amount of smoke, i.e. clay with significant amount of organic materials inside.
