Nicola Williams
Nicola Williams’ (Studio TB-127) paintings explore the variables of surface realities in the form of a re-visioned immediacy concerned with paint, its own truths, aesthetics and its deviant away from conventions. In the resulting paintings which explore a personal journey into both the shadows and memories of childhood surroundings, these vibrations appear and dissolve into the application of form and artistry. The works form an ontological study of the self, mixed with rural mythologies and figures drifting in to these works unobserved like narrators of their own cryptic world.
